RAP STAR KANYE WEST SPOTTED DRIVING CUSTOMIZED TOYOTA MEGA CRUISER IN LA
Rap music and the automotive world have always had a close relationship, and Kanye West, also known as Ye, is no exception. The famous rapper and car enthusiast was recently seen cruising around Los Angeles in a customized Toyota Mega Cruiser that he bought for his wife, Bianca Censori, last year. The couple was joined by Playboi Carti and Luka Sabbat, as they headed to a production set to shoot footage for an upcoming music video.
The Mega Cruiser, believed to be the second of its kind in the entire country, has already gained a small online following. However, its appearance in Kanye West’s music video will undoubtedly propel it to stardom. Ye has been teasing his Vultures album for months, and the latest update is that it will be released in three volumes, with the first part dropping on February 9.
If all goes as planned, the leading single from the album will be accompanied by a music video. However, given Ye’s unconventional ways, it remains to be seen how he will release the material. It’s worth noting that the album is self-launched after Ye was dropped by all his representatives due to his controversial comments.
As for the visuals in the music video, Kanye West has hinted at a Halloween-meets-doomsday theme. He sported a Jason Vorhees mask and a Mike Myers mask during the outing, adding to the post-apocalyptic vibe of the Mega Cruiser. Playboi Carti and Luka Sabbat, who rode in the open back of the vehicle, also donned costumes and painted faces.
The Toyota Mega Cruiser is a rare find in the United States. Only 135 of these vehicles, originally produced for military and emergency response personnel, made their way into civilian hands. Kanye’s Mega Cruiser is the second one to be imported into the country. It boasts a 153 hp 4.1-liter turbodiesel engine, a four-speed automatic transmission, and features such as four-wheel steering, locking differentials, a two-speed transfer case, and a centralized tire inflation system.
The customization of the Mega Cruiser was handled by Camplife Customs, who gave it an all-white paintjob and added a white canvas cover for the rear. With its unique features and striking appearance, this vehicle is sure to turn heads in Kanye West’s upcoming music video.
