Atlanta Falcons RB Bijan Robinson is excited about the hiring of Raheem Morris as the team’s new head coach. Morris, known for being a players’ coach, brings a different energy to Atlanta compared to what Bill Belichick would have brought. Belichick was initially linked to the job and interviewed twice, but the team ultimately decided to go with Morris. Robinson, however, would have welcomed Belichick with open arms, considering him a legend of the game.
In recent years, there has been a trend of teams hiring coaches with offensive backgrounds. However, this offseason has been different, with five out of eight head coaching openings being filled by coaches with defensive backgrounds. Morris, who previously served as the defensive coordinator for the Los Angeles Rams, is not a concern for Robinson. He finds Morris to be awesome and is impressed with him so far.
This will be Morris’ second chance at the head coaching job for the Falcons, as he previously served as the interim head coach in 2020. Robinson, in collaboration with Courtyard by Marriott, is participating in The Ultimate Upgrade contest ahead of Super Bowl 58. The contest transforms an Allegiant Stadium suite into a Courtyard guest room, known as the Courtyard Super Bowl Sleepover suite. Robinson is excited to give back to fans, and two lucky winners, Jametta Barden and her son Chance Mack, got to experience the suite.
