Former President Donald Trump has taken aim at Howard Stern, branding him a “beta male” after the radio host’s recent interview with Vice President Kamala Harris. Trump’s criticism erupted on Truth Social following the interview, which aired as part of Harris’s media blitz after a quiet start to her campaign.
During the exchange, Stern reportedly lobbed “softball questions” at Harris, prompting Trump to assert that Stern embarrassed himself in an effort to make the vice president look competent. “BETA MALE Howard Stern made a fool of himself on his low-rated radio show when he ‘interviewed’ Lyin’ Kamala Harris, hitting her with so many SOFTBALL questions that even she was embarrassed,” Trump wrote.
The Republican nominee further chastised Stern, claiming that he looked foolish trying to polish the image of “a totally incompetent and ill-equipped person.” Trump noted that he had distanced himself from Stern, saying, “I dropped Howard a long time ago, like most others, and have since been credited with very good judgment!”
Stern, who has known Trump for years, addressed their falling out during the interview, recalling how he declined to introduce Trump at the Republican Convention because he was voting for Hillary Clinton. “He was very upset with me… then I was a bad guy,” Stern said, reflecting on their deteriorated relationship.
As the 2024 election approaches, Trump’s comments highlight the escalating tensions and fierce rivalries in the political landscape, particularly as candidates ramp up their public engagements.
As the campaign heats up, Trump’s criticisms are expected to further fuel the narrative surrounding the candidates’ media appearances and public perceptions.
