Titans’ Cam Ward vows aggressive finish after doubling win total against Browns

Titans’ Cam Ward Aims for Strong Finish Following Victory Over Browns

Tennessee Titans quarterback Cam Ward celebrated a significant milestone this past Sunday, as he helped his team secure a second victory of the season against the Cleveland Browns, bringing their record to 2-11. While this places the Titans in a tie for the worst record in the NFL, the mood within the locker room is one of optimism as they prepare for the final four games of the year.

Aiming High as the Season Winds Down

In the wake of this much-needed win, Ward expressed a clear ambition for the remainder of the season. “As a team, we want to accomplish finishing every game this season with a win. That’s the biggest goal we have in mind,” he stated after the game.

For Ward, this is not just about the team’s record but also about his personal growth as a player. He emphasized the importance of maintaining an aggressive mindset. “You have to live with the good. Critique the good, but you also have to live through the bad and critique the bad and not let things carry over,” he said, underscoring his commitment to his style of play.

Looking Towards the Future

As the Titans embark on a long-term rebuilding phase, Ward understands the necessity of focusing beyond the immediate results. “You just have to wake up with the right mindset every day. Get better at the little things,” he noted. Acknowledging the ups and downs of the season, he added, “In a win, you can hide stuff. In a loss, everything gets shown to light.”

This perspective is crucial for a young quarterback leading a team in transition. Ward aims to improve daily, regardless of the outcomes. “I just continue to live my life day by day. Try to be there for my teammates and try to win games for my team,” he explained.

Finding Balance Amidst Challenges

While some teammates may critique his approach, Ward’s focus on continuous improvement is a vital strategy for growth. The Titans cannot afford to rest on their laurels after achieving a single victory; complacency could hinder their progress when more talent is eventually integrated into the roster.

Despite the challenges, Ward recognizes the importance of celebrating personal milestones while striving for excellence. As the Titans prepare to face the San Francisco 49ers in Week 15, Ward is hopeful that his efforts will yield further success.

As the season unfolds, all eyes will be on the Titans and their young quarterback as they look to build momentum in the closing weeks.
