Nico Collins, the standout wide receiver for the Houston Texans, has publicly expressed his support for quarterback C.J. Stroud, who is sidelined as he navigates the NFL’s concussion protocol. As the Texans prepare to face the Buffalo Bills on Thursday Night Football, the absence of Stroud marks a significant challenge for the team, potentially keeping him out for a third consecutive game.

Stroud’s Ongoing Recovery

Stroud’s concussion has come at a critical juncture in the season, with the Texans poised for a vital matchup against the Bills. In his absence, Davis Mills is expected to step back under center, leading the offense during a demanding short week. “We’ve got to continue to go,” Collins remarked ahead of the game. “We know what type of team Buffalo is. It’s another great matchup, and they’re coming in trying to win. So, for us, it’s a short week. We need to continue to get on the game plan, take care of our bodies, and get ready for Buffalo.”

“Speedy recovery to my guy, 7,” Collins stated. “You don’t want anybody missing games, especially with your brain. You only get one, so you’ve got to take care of that. We miss him for sure, but health is important.”
