Hines Ward’s Legacy
Hines Ward, a wide receiver who became synonymous with the Steelers, was selected in the third round of the 1998 NFL Draft out of the University of Georgia. Over his illustrious 14-year career, he amassed impressive stats—12,083 receiving yards, 1,000 receptions, and 85 touchdowns.
Ward’s contributions were pivotal in the Steelers’ success, winning two Super Bowls (XL and XLIII). His performance in Super Bowl XL earned him the MVP award, highlighting his impact on the game. Alongside his championships, he was named to the Pro Bowl four times and was honored with induction into the Steelers’ Hall of Honor.
James Farrior’s Tenure
Linebacker James Farrior joined the Steelers in 2002 and remained with the franchise for the last ten years of his career.
