Myles Garrett and Tom Brady Join Forces for Flag Football Tournament in Saudi Arabia

Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett and legendary quarterback Tom Brady are set to create a buzz in the world of sports with their participation in a high-profile flag football tournament in Saudi Arabia. This event promises to be a spectacle, featuring an impressive lineup of NFL stars.

The Fanatics Football Classic

Scheduled for March 21, 2026, at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, the Fanatics Football Classic will see Brady and Garrett teaming up alongside notable players such as Saquon Barkley, CeeDee Lamb, Christian McCaffrey, Maxx Crosby, and Rob Gronkowski. The tournament will be structured as a three-team competition, aiming to showcase the talents of these elite athletes in a more casual yet competitive setting.

Coaching Lineup and Event Promotion

Adding to the event’s allure, Las Vegas Raiders head coach Pete Carroll and Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton will lead the teams. This collaboration reflects a growing trend of NFL stars engaging in off-season activities that transcend traditional formats. Brady has partnered with Turki Alalshikh, the chairman of the Saudi General Entertainment Authority, to promote this event, which will be broadcasted on FOX, where Brady also serves as a lead analyst during the NFL season.

Clarifying NFL Involvement

Interestingly, this tournament is not an initiative backed by the NFL itself. Brady has made it clear that while Fanatics brought the event to their attention, it remains an independent venture. “It’s up to the individual clubs to provide clearance for their active players to participate,” he stated. This highlights the evolving nature of player involvement in various off-field activities, allowing for more flexibility and creativity in how athletes engage with fans and the public.

A New Chapter for Brady

This event marks a unique moment for Brady, who is stepping out of retirement to take part in this flag football showcase. As a minority owner of the Raiders, his continued involvement in the sport, even in a non-traditional format, underscores his enduring influence in the football community.

With Garrett’s formidable presence on the field and Brady’s unparalleled legacy, the Fanatics Football Classic promises to be an exciting event that blends entertainment with athletic prowess, setting the stage for an unforgettable day in Saudi Arabia.
