Dolphins Return Healthy for Crucial Matchup Against Saints

The Miami Dolphins are set to make a strong return from their bye week, entering their Week 13 clash against the New Orleans Saints with a nearly complete roster. This is underscored by their inactive list, which features no players from this week’s injury report.

Key Players Activated

Among the notable inclusions for the Dolphins are tight end Darren Waller and tackle Austin Jackson, both of whom were activated from injured reserve on Saturday. Their presence is expected to bolster the team significantly as they aim for a critical victory.

Additionally, defensive tackle Benito Jones, who has been nursing an ankle injury, and cornerback Rasul Douglas, returning from a two-game absence due to foot and ankle issues, will also take the field. Their return adds depth to the Dolphins’ lineup as they gear up for this pivotal matchup.

Inactive Roster Analysis

On the inactive list, the Dolphins have included a mix of newcomers alongside second-year wide receiver Tahj Washington. Joining Washington are cornerback A.J. Green III and linebacker Andre Carter II, both of whom were recently signed off other teams’ practice squads. This marks the third consecutive game Carter has been inactive since being claimed from the Detroit Lions’ practice squad.

Linebacker Caleb Johnson, who was signed from the Dolphins’ practice squad earlier this week, will be active and is expected to contribute on special teams. The final player listed as inactive is defensive tackle Matthew Butler, whose game-day roster spot has been taken by rookie seventh-round pick Zeek Biggers in recent weeks.

Quarterback Depth

Quinn Ewers will continue in his role as the emergency third quarterback, a position he has maintained for all but one game this season when he surpassed Zach Wilson on the depth chart. His readiness to step in if needed reflects the team’s strategic depth at the quarterback position.

As the Dolphins prepare for their showdown against the Saints, the return of these key players presents a promising outlook. With a fully stocked roster, Miami hopes to capitalize on this opportunity to strengthen their playoff aspirations.
