Dolphins Injury Report: Storm Duck and Tyrel Dodson Shine as Full Participants
The Miami Dolphins kicked off Week 7 with a notable injury report, reflecting both concerns and hopeful progress. Among the highlights, cornerback Storm Duck and linebacker Tyrel Dodson emerged as full practice participants, signaling a positive step forward for the team.
Positive Developments for Duck and Dodson
Both Duck and Dodson missed the previous game against the Los Angeles Chargers, with Duck’s absence dating back to an injury sustained in Week 1 against the Indianapolis Colts. Their return to full participation is a significant boost for the Dolphins, who aim to bolster their defensive lineup as they prepare for the upcoming matchup.
Injury Concerns Mount
Despite the good news regarding Duck and Dodson, the Dolphins’ injury report also revealed three new names: fullback Alec Ingold (neck/rest), linebacker Jordyn Brooks (neck), and safety Dante Trader Jr. Ingold was among the two players who did not participate in practice Wednesday, joining safety Elijah Campbell, who is nursing a quad injury that sidelined him against the Chargers.
Limited participation was noted for Brooks and Trader, alongside center Aaron Brewer (pectoral) and tight end Darren Waller (hip/rest).
Tua Tagovailoa and Cedrick Wilson Jr. Back in Action
Joining Duck and Dodson as full participants were quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, dealing with a left thumb injury, and wide receiver Cedrick Wilson Jr., who had a knee issue. Tagovailoa faced some challenges in the previous game but expressed confidence in his ability to throw, stating, “It was good. I mean, had some plays off that were off that I felt, but gotta keep going.” Meanwhile, Wilson, who was a healthy scratch against the Chargers, had been removed from the injury report just before the game.
Browns Face Injury Challenges
On the other side, the Cleveland Browns reported their own set of challenges with 13 players listed on their initial injury report for the week. Notably, three players did not practice: starting right tackle Jack Conklin (concussion), tight end David Njoku (knee), and wide receiver Gage Larvadain (concussion).
Among the nine players who were limited in practice were former NFL Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett (elbow), starting wide receiver Jerry Jeudy (knee), and starting tackle Cam Robinson (knee). The rest of the limited group included guard Joel Bitonio (rest), defensive tackles Maliek Collins (rest), Mike Hall (knee), Shelby Harris (knee), defensive end Joe Tryon-Shoyinka (hip), and tight end Blake Whiteheart (shoulder). T Cornelius Lucas was the only player listed as a full participant, overcoming a back issue.
As both teams navigate their respective injury challenges, the Dolphins and Browns prepare for a critical matchup that could shape their seasons. The progress of players like Duck and Dodson will be closely monitored as the Dolphins look to gain an edge in the coming games.
