Despite this encouraging news, McVay tempered expectations by clarifying that there is no definitive timeline for Stafford’s ongoing participation this week. He emphasized that today’s progress does not guarantee Stafford’s availability for the crucial Week 1 matchup. As the Rams prepare for the season, they are still grappling with the implications of Stafford’s persistent back issues that have plagued him throughout the summer.

Stafford’s health is particularly critical, not only for the immediate future but also for the long-term outlook of his career, especially after restructuring his contract this offseason to include guaranteed money through 2026. This financial commitment underscores the team’s belief in his abilities and future contributions.
