Draft Day: A Bold Move by the Bills
The 2018 NFL Draft was packed with quarterback talent, featuring future stars like Baker Mayfield, Sam Darnold, Josh Rosen, and Lamar Jackson. Among them, Allen stood out with significant question marks attached to his name. While Mayfield, Darnold, and Rosen boasted completion percentages above 60%, Allen’s was a mere 56%.
Scouts noted his “ideal size,” “very strong arm,” and “excellent mobility,” but concerns about accuracy and performance against elite teams loomed large.
