Josh Allen on the Verge of NFL Milestone Against Dolphins

Josh Allen, the dynamic quarterback for the Buffalo Bills, is poised to make history as he gears up to face the Miami Dolphins in Week 3 of the NFL season. The stakes are high, not just for the teams involved, but also for Allen, who stands on the brink of eclipsing a significant record held by Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

A Crucial Matchup

The Bills are set to host the Dolphins in a Thursday Night Football clash, with Miami entering the game seeking their first victory of the season at 0-2. Meanwhile, the Bills are aiming to secure their third win of the year and build on their momentum from a recent AFC East victory.

Chasing Mahomes’ Record

As if the pressure of the game isn’t enough, Allen is positioned to break a remarkable milestone by becoming the fastest player in NFL history to reach 300 total touchdowns. Currently, Mahomes holds that title, having achieved the feat in 128 games, including playoff appearances.

Allen, preparing for his 127th game when counting playoffs, has already accumulated a formidable 222 total touchdowns—197 through the air during the regular season and an additional 25 in the playoffs. His prowess extends beyond passing; he has also rushed for 67 touchdowns in regular-season play and seven more in the postseason, bringing his total to 74 rushing touchdowns. In addition, he has two career touchdown receptions in the regular season and one in the playoffs.

Setting New Benchmarks

This potential achievement comes on the heels of Allen already making his mark in Buffalo’s franchise history. He recently surpassed legendary running back Thurman Thomas to become the franchise’s all-time leader in rushing touchdowns. Now, he stands at the threshold of another notable accolade that would solidify his standing among the league’s elite.

As the Bills prepare to take the field against the Dolphins, all eyes will be on Allen, who has the opportunity to not only lead his team to victory but also secure a record that would etch his name alongside, or perhaps above, that of Mahomes in the annals of NFL history. The excitement surrounding this matchup is palpable, with fans eager to see if Allen can make history this Thursday night.
