Burrow believes Turner is worthy of the accolade. “I thought DJ should have made the Pro Bowl,” he said, acknowledging the common trajectory for first-time Pro Bowl candidates. “I told him the other day, usually the first year that you should make it, you’re typically an alternate. If you stack that year, they usually give it to you the next year.” He reflected on his own career, noting similar patterns he has observed across the league.
