Former NFL star Jamal Anderson, known for his time with the Atlanta Falcons, has reportedly been arrested on allegations of felony domestic violence. The incident took place at a residence in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles, with NBC News 4 breaking the story.

Authorities responded to a call at approximately 11 a.m. on the day of the incident. Upon arrival, police officers discovered that Anderson had been involved in a heated verbal dispute that escalated into a physical confrontation. According to law enforcement, the former running back allegedly strangled the victim during the altercation.

Paramedics were summoned to the scene to assess the situation, but the victim declined medical treatment. Following this, Anderson was taken into custody and later released on a $50,000 bond.

Jamal Anderson spent his entire eight-season NFL career with the Atlanta Falcons, where he achieved remarkable success on the field. Drafted in the seventh round of the 1994 NFL Draft, he accumulated impressive statistics, rushing for 5,336 yards and scoring 34 touchdowns across 88 games.

His career reached its pinnacle in 1998 when the Falcons posted a remarkable 14-2 record and advanced to the franchise’s first Super Bowl.
