J.J. Watt to Announce Steelers vs. Bears Clash

The Pittsburgh Steelers are set to welcome a familiar voice as they gear up for their Week 12 road game against the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field. Former NFL defensive end and future Hall of Famer J.J. Watt will join play-by-play announcer Ian Eagle in the CBS broadcast booth, bringing his insights and energy to the highly anticipated matchup. This encounter not only marks a pivotal moment in the Steelers’ season but also features Watt’s brother, T.J., as he aims to help Pittsburgh secure another crucial win in the playoff race.

A Winning Streak with J.J. in the Booth

So far this season, the pairing of Eagle and Watt has proven to be a lucky charm for the Steelers. The duo has called four of Pittsburgh’s nine games, and they have yet to witness a loss, boasting an impressive 4-0 record together. Their first collaboration came during the Week 1 opener against the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium, where the Steelers edged out a thrilling 34-32 victory—one of the most exciting games of the season.

Although Eagle and Watt were absent during Pittsburgh’s Week 2 home game against the Seattle Seahawks, they quickly returned to the booth in Week 3 to cover the Steelers’ victory over the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium. Their successful streak continued in Week 6, where they called the Steelers’ win against the Cleveland Browns at Acrisure Stadium, following a Week 5 bye. Most recently, the duo was back in action during Week 10, where they witnessed Pittsburgh triumph over the Indianapolis Colts with a score of 27-20, further solidifying their reputation as a formidable broadcasting team.

As the Steelers prepare to clash with the Bears, fans will be eager to see if the combination of Watt’s insightful commentary and the team’s current momentum can lead to yet another victory in their pursuit of a perfect season. With the postseason looming, every game becomes increasingly crucial, and having a voice as respected as J.J. Watt’s calling the action adds an extra layer of excitement to this matchup.
