Browns Acquire Cam Robinson to Strengthen Offensive Line Following Jones Injury
The Cleveland Browns are making strategic moves to enhance their roster. On Monday, they executed a trade with the Houston Texans, bringing in offensive tackle Cam Robinson. As part of the deal, Cleveland will receive a 2027 seventh-round pick while sending a sixth-round pick to Houston, as reported by NFL Network.

The urgency for tackle reinforcement arose after Dawand Jones suffered a season-ending injury. With this trade, the Browns hope Robinson will fill that crucial gap on their offensive line.
Robinson, drafted as the 34th overall pick in the second round by the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2017, boasts a commendable career. The 6-foot-6, 335-pound lineman is entering his ninth NFL season, having spent the first seven-and-a-half years with the Jaguars before a brief tenure with the Minnesota Vikings at the end of the 2024 season.
Robinson’s Experience and Versatility
Since joining the Texans in the offseason, Robinson has appeared in three games this year. His experience is notable, as he has started in 102 of the 104 games he has played throughout his career, with the exception of two non-starts occurring this season. As he approaches his 30th birthday on October 9, Robinson’s skills and experience can offer the Browns a much-needed boost.
