Broncos’ Evan Engram Overcomes Calf Bruise to Return to Practice

The Denver Broncos secured a hard-fought, albeit messy victory against the Tennessee Titans this past Sunday. The encounter featured its fair share of struggles, particularly from quarterback Bo Nix, while the defense stepped up to thwart any potential upset. However, the day was particularly challenging for tight end Evan Engram, whose performance was marred by an injury.

In his much-anticipated Denver debut, Engram managed to snag just three catches for a mere 21 yards before being sidelined due to a calf injury. Initially, the severity of the injury raised concerns, hinting that it could be more serious than a standard setback.

Fortunately, further evaluations revealed that Engram was dealing with a calf bruise rather than a more significant issue. This change in diagnosis has allowed him to return to practice, albeit in a limited capacity.

On Wednesday, Engram participated in the early portion of practice, demonstrating resilience as he aims to bounce back from the disappointing outing. Alongside Engram, the Broncos also noted that defensive lineman John Franklin-Myers and inside linebacker Dre Greenlaw, who is contending with a quad issue, did not partake in practice.

As the Broncos prepare for their next matchup, Engram’s ability to recover and contribute will be pivotal for the team’s offensive strategy moving forward.
