Bijan Robinson surges past 2,000-yard milestone, targets Falcons’ franchise record
In an electrifying display of talent, Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson showcased his abilities on Sunday afternoon in Glendale, Arizona, his home state. The star runner delivered a commanding performance, racking up 168 total yards — 76 on the ground and 92 through the air — along with a touchdown. This remarkable outing marked Robinson’s tenth game this season in which he eclipsed the 100 scrimmage yards threshold.
Dominating the Field
Robinson’s impact on the field was undeniable, as he accounted for six of the Falcons’ ten longest plays during the game. His offensive prowess played a pivotal role in leading the Falcons to a solid 26-19 victory over the Arizona Cardinals.
Historic Achievement
In the second half, Robinson crossed a significant career milestone, pushing his season total for scrimmage yards over the 2,000-yard mark. This accomplishment placed him among an elite group, making him just the third player in Falcons history to reach this impressive feat, joining the ranks of William Andrews and Jamal Anderson. With this achievement, Robinson now has his sights set on Andrews’ franchise record for scrimmage yards in a single season, which stands at 2,176 yards. He is a mere 150 yards away from matching that total.
Expressing his gratitude for the opportunity to play, Robinson shared, “Truly a blessing that God lets me do this for my teammates and this program!” His passion for the game and commitment to his teammates continue to shine through as he aims for further milestones this season.
