Cardinals Face Injury Challenges Ahead of Key Rams Matchup
As the Arizona Cardinals prepare for a pivotal Week 14 clash against the Los Angeles Rams, both teams provided updates on their injury reports following Thursday’s practice.
Injury Updates for the Cardinals
The Cardinals welcomed back veteran offensive tackle Kelvin Beachum, who had been absent from Wednesday’s activities due to a previous commitment related to being named their Walter Payton Man of the Year. However, the team also added wide receiver Xavier Weaver to the injury list with a hamstring issue.
A number of key players, including standout talents like Marvin Harrison Jr., Josh Sweat, Walter Nolen, Greg Dortch, Max Melton, and Trey Benson, missed practice for the second consecutive day. Additionally, L.J. Collier, Emari Demercado, and Christian Jones continued to be limited in their participation.

Anticipation Builds for Tough Matchup
Cardinals quarterback Jacoby Brissett and head coach Jonathan Gannon are acutely aware of the challenge that lies ahead against one of the league’s top teams.
“It’s tough. Obviously, they are one of the better teams in the NFL, both offensively and defensively. They have really good players, a solid scheme, and excellent coaches,” Brissett remarked while addressing the media. “Divisional opponent—those games are always the hardest. We have our hands full, but we’re excited for this opportunity and ready to go out there and try to secure a win.”
The Rams have had the upper hand in recent encounters, winning three of their last four matchups against the Cardinals. Gannon echoed the sentiment of respect for the Rams, stating, “They are a really good football team coming in here, tied for the best record in the NFC. They are well-coached, have talented players, and are currently playing at a high level. They control the double positive, which is why they are 9-3. We’ve got our work cut out for us, but we’re excited about the challenge. Let’s go to work.”
