49ers ignite trade frenzy: eyes on 8 targets before deadline

49ers Set to Make Moves Before Trade Deadline

As the November 4 trade deadline approaches, the San Francisco 49ers are gearing up for what could be a flurry of activity in the market. With the team’s championship aspirations in mind, they are reportedly linked to eight potential trade targets across three key positions.

Edge Rushers in Demand

The search for reinforcements on the defensive line has led the 49ers to several intriguing edge rushers.

Trey Hendrickson
The Cincinnati Bengals’ standout has been a recurring name in trade discussions involving the 49ers. ESPN estimates a 20% chance of Hendrickson being dealt, with the Philadelphia Eagles and Indianapolis Colts also in the mix. The outcome will likely hinge on Cincinnati’s playoff ambitions and the asking price for the talented rusher.

Jaelen Phillips
In recent weeks, Phillips has gained traction as a potential target. His trade probability sits at 30%, with interest from the Detroit Lions and Kansas City Chiefs as well. The 49ers could benefit from his youthful energy and playmaking ability.

Arden Key
Key has emerged as the most probable trade candidate, with ESPN placing his chances at 40%. His familiarity with the 49ers’ system makes him an appealing option, while the Dallas Cowboys and Eagles are also considered possible suitors.

Kingsley Enagbare
Although Enagbare is projected to have a 25% chance of being traded, he could serve as a depth addition for San Francisco. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers may also be vying for his services, potentially complicating the 49ers’ efforts.

While Jermaine Johnson and Arnold Ebekitie have been mentioned among the top trade candidates, they are not directly tied to the 49ers but remain noteworthy considerations.

Linebacker Landscape

The 49ers are also exploring options to bolster their linebacker corps.

Logan Wilson
The Bengals might be willing to part with Wilson, especially after rookie Barrett Carter displaced him as a starter. ESPN reports a robust 60% likelihood of a trade, but the 49ers will need to outbid competitors like the Dallas Cowboys, Buffalo Bills, and Indianapolis Colts.

Christian Harris
Harris has fallen out of favor with the Houston Texans, presenting another opportunity for the 49ers. His trade chances are rated at 30%, with the Cowboys again lurking as a potential rival in negotiations.

Pass Catchers on the Radar

Despite having a healthy tight end in George Kittle and the potential return of receivers like Brandon Aiyuk and Ricky Pearsall, the 49ers are still eyeing pass-catching talent.

Mark Andrews
Surprisingly, Andrews’ name has surfaced in trade talks, even though the 49ers have depth at tight end. With a trade probability of just 20%, his acquisition seems less likely given the current roster makeup.

Chris Olave
The young wide receiver from the New Orleans Saints offers considerable upside and is also projected at a 20% chance of being traded. His talent might be worth pursuing, especially if the price aligns with the 49ers’ strategic goals.

As the trade deadline looms, the 49ers are poised to make significant moves to enhance their roster. With various targets across crucial positions, fans will be eagerly watching to see how the team capitalizes on this pivotal moment in the season.
