Mavericks Strengthen Training Camp Roster with New Additions
The Dallas Mavericks are actively preparing for their upcoming training camp, set to kick off on September 30th in Vancouver, Canada. As they look to bolster their roster, the Mavericks have recently signed two players who will be vying for spots on the team.
Fresh Faces Join the Mavericks
Highlighting their recent moves, the Mavericks first secured the services of D’Moi Hodge, a former guard for the Los Angeles Lakers. Hodge, who went undrafted in the 2023 NBA Draft, previously showcased his skills at Cleveland State and Missouri. Following his college career, he spent the 2023-24 season on a two-way contract with the Lakers, later transitioning to the Rip City Remix, Portland’s G-League affiliate. Most recently, Hodge played in Greece for Aris Thessaloniki, where he continued to develop his game.
Jeremiah Robinson-Earl Signs On
In addition to Hodge, the Mavericks have also added Jeremiah Robinson-Earl to their training camp roster. An early second-round pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, Robinson-Earl was originally selected by the New York Knicks but was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder on draft night. Over the past two seasons, he has played for the New Orleans Pelicans, participating in 66 games last year where he averaged 6.3 points and 4.8 rebounds per game. His blend of size and skill adds depth to the Mavericks’ frontcourt as they seek to solidify their roster.
What Lies Ahead for Dallas
With these new acquisitions, the Mavericks are not only increasing competition within the squad but also looking to uncover hidden talent that can contribute to their success in the upcoming season. As the training camp approaches, all eyes will be on how these players integrate into the team’s system and fight for their chance to make an impact in the NBA.
