Chicago Bulls face setback as Coby White’s ankle injury clouds winning streak ambitions

Bulls Look to Extend Streak Amid Coby White’s Injury Concerns

On the road in Atlanta, the Chicago Bulls are eyeing a third consecutive victory. Their recent back-to-back wins against the Cavaliers have been surprising, but they also highlight a pivotal moment for the team: this past week marked the first time this season that the Bulls fielded a fully healthy roster. Aside from Noa Essengue, who began the season well outside the rotation, Friday’s game showcased the depth and versatility of the Bulls as they finally had all hands on deck.

Team’s Recent Success Fueled by Depth

The Bulls capitalized on this newfound health, with seven players scoring in double figures during both games. Their offensive execution has been impressive, averaging at least 34 assists per game and shooting over 52 percent from the field in each outing. The team’s depth has been instrumental in their strong start to the season, allowing them to weather injuries and maintain competitive performances.

However, as they prepare for their matchup against the Hawks, the injury report has taken a concerning turn. Coby White, a key contributor, has been downgraded to questionable due to an ankle injury. This is particularly troubling given White’s recent struggles with calf issues, which have limited him to just nine appearances this season.

Coby White’s Struggles Continue

Despite playing in six consecutive games—his longest stretch of the season—White has faced challenges in finding his offensive rhythm. His shooting percentages reflect this struggle, as he currently sits at 44.0 percent from the field and a disappointing 28.6 percent from three-point range. While there is no indication that this latest ankle injury is severe, it is yet another hurdle in what has been a difficult season for the young guard.

As the Bulls aim to extend their winning streak, they will need to navigate these injury concerns carefully. The impact of White’s potential absence could be significant, especially as the team looks to capitalize on their recent momentum.
