In a stunning turn of events during the Thunder’s commanding victory over the Phoenix Suns, guard Cason Wallace left the game early due to an injury. The incident occurred just minutes into the third quarter when Wallace collided with Suns center Mark Williams while trying to navigate a hard screen. The impact visibly shook Wallace, who immediately began to favor his head. Shortly thereafter, he committed an intentional foul and opted to check himself out of the game, heading straight to the locker room.

Wallace’s Impact This Season

This season has been a breakout year for Wallace, who is averaging 8.4 points on 44% shooting from the field. He has also established himself as a force on the defensive end, leading the league with 2.3 steals per game.
