Alex Bowman has a strong aversion to scooter gangs in NASCAR. Throughout his career, the driver for 23XI Racing has shown his passion for sneakers and scooters on and off the track. He has gained a large number of fans who share his interests. However, Bowman’s teammate, Tyler Reddick, and his colleagues at 23XI Racing formed a “scooter gang”, which caused some controversy in the NASCAR community.
Before the NASCAR Cup Series race in Texas, a member of Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s Dirty Mo Media interviewed drivers and fans about scooter gangs. One of the drivers who spoke out against scooters was Alex Bowman, who expressed his dislike for them and emphasized that they are not allowed on the track according to the rules.
During the NASCAR Cup Series race at Martinsville Speedway, all podium positions were taken by Hendrick Motorsports drivers, except Alex Bowman. He finished in eighth place and struggled with the performance of his Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 throughout the weekend. Bowman admitted that he felt uncomfortable in his car from the beginning and couldn’t reach the desired performance level.
Bowman expressed his disappointment at not finishing higher in the race, as he wanted to make the moment special for his Hendrick Motorsport team. He will be looking to bounce back and improve his performance in the next race at Texas Motor Speedway.
