Ferrari recently announced the signing of Lewis Hamilton for a multi-year contract starting in 2025, alongside Charles Leclerc who has already committed to a long-term extension. As a result, Sainz will be without a drive for the upcoming season, although there have been rumors linking him to Mercedes and Sauber, which will transition into a works Audi team in 2026. Sainz addressed the media for the first time since the news broke, stating that discussions are underway regarding his options for the future. While acknowledging the uncertainty, Sainz emphasized his commitment to training and giving his all in his final year with Ferrari. Despite not being mentioned in Ferrari’s press release, Sainz clarified that he was aware of the team’s pursuit of Hamilton and is now solely focused on delivering strong performances for the remainder of the championship.
