Kyle Busch is the most accomplished driver in NASCAR, having won races in all three national series. Netflix recently released a new docu-series called NASCAR: Full Speed, which has become one of the most popular shows on the platform. The series provides an inside look into the lives of NASCAR stars and has gained a large following in North America, Australia, and parts of Europe.
Joe Gibbs Racing’s drivers have been heavily featured in the series, with their team and family opening their doors to give fans an exclusive experience. Reigning champion Ryan Blaney and Hamlin’s drivers have also received significant screen time. However, other fan favorites like the 2020 Cup champion, the 2012 champion, and the two-time Cup winner were not included in the show. The drivers were selected based on their marketability and willingness to participate in the docu-series.
During a press conference attended by Kyle Busch, Blaney, and Joey Logano, Busch was asked about the series. Despite having limited presence compared to the Penske duo, Busch couldn’t help but make jokes about it. Blaney responded positively, expressing his enjoyment of watching Busch in the series and discussing how the show will attract more fans to the sport.
Before the Clash race, Busch, who is the owner-driver of RFK Racing, revealed that he was not asked to be featured in the docu-series. He acknowledged that not everyone can be included in the first season and expressed hope for an opportunity to contribute in the second season.
As predicted by Brad Keselowski, the second season of the series may provide a chance for fans to explore the lives of their favorite drivers who were not featured in the first season. It is highly unlikely that the 2024 edition of the series would exclude drivers like Chase Elliott and Kyle Busch, unless the drivers choose not to participate.
