The GasGas Tech3 pilot, Daniel Holgado, emerged victorious in the Moto3 race in Portugal, narrowly defeating Jose Antonio Rueda from Ajo KTM by just 0.044s. Ivan Ortola from MT Helmets – MSI secured third place on the podium, a significant improvement from his ninth place in Qatar. Despite leading at various stages of the race, David Alonso, the winner of the previous race in Qatar, was forced to settle for fourth place due to tire issues on his CFMoto Aspar machine. The race was marked by an early collision between Ryusei Yamanaka and Angel Piqueras, resulting in their premature exit. The rest of the race followed the typical Moto3 pattern, with a fierce battle for victory between Holgado, Rueda, Ortola, and Alonso. In the end, Rueda relinquished his lead to a jubilant Alonso in an exciting race to the finish line. Joel Kelso and Collin Veijer finished in fifth and sixth place, separated by just 0.019s, showcasing their fierce determination. Stefano Nepa finished in seventh place, followed by rookie Joel Esteban and David Muñoz. The Leopard Racing team had a disappointing race, with Adrian Fernandez finishing in tenth place. With 45 points, Holgado currently leads the championship, closely followed by Alonso with 38 points. Ortola is in third place with 23 points.
