Peter Hickman conquered a fortunate victory in the first Superbike TT race of the Isle of Man TT in 2024. He took advantage of a setback in the race leader Michael Dunlop’s pitstop, whose dominant lead disappeared when his visor came loose. Dean Harrison and Davey Todd initially led the race, but were soon overtaken by Dunlop, who is aiming to become the most successful rider in TT history. However, Dunlop’s hopes in the race were dashed when he had to stop and reattach his visor at Bray Hill. Meanwhile, Hickman, who had a slow start, managed to catch up to Harrison and eventually secured a five-second lead to win the race. Todd finished in second place, with Harrison in third. Dunlop, despite his efforts, had to settle for fourth place.
