Damon Hill expressed his thoughts on Andrea Stella’s statements about showing respect to Max Verstappen and Red Bull. Lando Norris, Damon Hill, and Max Verstappen were photographed in the accompanying images. The anger of the McLaren Team Director was evident after the collision between Verstappen and Norris at the end of the race. However, Stella clarified that the Woking team had a level of respect for the current world champion. Former Formula 1 champion Damon Hill commented on the media statements made by Andrea Stella, in which Stella blamed Max Verstappen for the accident but also expressed respect for Verstappen as a driver. Hill considered Stella’s words reasonable and respectful, echoing similar feelings to those of the F1 Presenter. Damon Hill stated that he was uncertain whether accidents like the one between Max Verstappen and Lando Norris would make drivers race more cautiously. He suggested that some drivers fail to understand how their actions affect others, hinting at Verstappen. However, Hill acknowledged that the race itself was exciting, with numerous thrilling moments. Recognizing the sound of reason and respect, Hill praised Andrea Stella for echoing the feelings expressed by someone else, likely the F1 Presenter. Hill also expressed a sense of familiarity with the situation, believing that nothing will change and that some people simply fail to understand. Despite this, he acknowledged that it was a good race. Christian Horner mentioned that the problem in the pit stop did not directly cause Verstappen’s loss in the race but presented a challenge for their race strategy. Horner believed that there was enough space for Lando Norris to avoid the collision. He pointed out that earlier in the race, Norris had received penalties for exceeding track limits several times. Horner’s comments provided insight into how he saw the Red Bull race and the incidents involving Norris during the race in Austria. Furthermore, Horner stated that it was just one of those things and that Red Bull would bounce back in the next race. He described both drivers as fierce competitors, highlighting Norris’s aggressive defense and referring to previous instances of contact between them in past races. Horner acknowledged that this time Norris tried to defend himself, but the collision ended up being costly for both drivers. The 50-year-old man’s remarks suggested a willingness to regain the competitive spirit that led to the incident. While not explicitly blaming Lando Norris, Christian Horner indirectly held him responsible for the incident, citing past mistakes made by Norris. Many disappointed fans attended the race in large numbers as it was Red Bull’s home event in Austria that was not favorable to the team due to the unfortunate incident.
