Porsche driver Antonio Felix da Costa was stripped of his victory in the first Misano E-Prix, which took place at the permanent Italian circuit. Da Costa, who was under pressure within the Porsche team, managed to secure the win by expertly conserving energy and climbing from 13th on the grid to first, finishing just four tenths ahead of Oliver Rowland. However, it was later discovered that a throttle damper spring on his Porsche was not in compliance with the regulations. Porsche argued that the part had not been changed since the start of the 2022-23 season, but it was determined that the part was no longer eligible according to the new set of rules. As a result, da Costa’s disqualification means that the Nissan team and Rowland are awarded the victory, marking their first win in Formula E since 2020.
