Not only has the Ducati Panigale V2 been revamped for 2025, but the Streetfighter V2 also receives significant updates, sharing the same V2 engine platform but designed as a naked bike.
The 890cc V2 engine is the centerpiece of the new Streetfighter V2. It complies with Euro 5+ emissions standards and delivers a maximum power of 120 hp at 10,750 rpm – a figure that can reach 126 hp with the competition exhaust, which also reduces weight by 4.5 kg. Torque is rated at 93.3 Nm at 8,250 rpm, and the six-speed gearbox comes with Ducati Quick Shift up/down 2.0.
Ducati Streetfighter V2 and V2 S: Different suspensions
The lightweight monocoque frame uses the engine as a structural component for rigidity. While both versions feature fully adjustable suspensions, there are key differences. The Streetfighter V2 is equipped with an Marzocchi USD fork, a Kayaba shock absorber, and a Sachs steering damper. The V2 S, on the other hand, features an Öhlins USD fork and rear shock. Both models share the same double-sided aluminum swingarm.
The braking system includes dual semi-floating discs with radial monobloc Brembo calipers at the front and a single disc with a two-piston caliper at the rear. A sporty Bosch Cornering ABS comes standard. The 17-inch Y-spoke alloy wheels are fitted with Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tyres.
Supersport electronics
Despite its naked styling, the new Ducati Streetfighter V2 features electronics typically found in the manufacturer’s supersport models. In addition to DQS and ABS, it includes Ducati Traction Control, Ducati Wheelie Control, and Engine Brake Control.
The bike is equipped with a new five-inch TFT dashboard with three display modes: Road, Road Pro, and Track, each tailored for specific riding conditions. It also offers four riding modes: Race for track use, Sport, Road, and Rain, with reduced power and adjusted ride-by-wire throttle and ABS parameters depending on the selected mode.
Ergonomics
Ducati designed the Streetfighter V2 for casual, low-effort riding. The aluminum handlebar has a variable section, and both the brake and clutch levers are adjustable. The footrests feature an improved grip design, and the passenger footrests are mounted on the rear subframe.
The rider’s seat is positioned at 838 mm from the ground, allowing easy reach to the ground. The 15-liter fuel tank shares the ergonomic shape of the Panigale V2.
The Streetfighter V2 features a seat for both the rider and a passenger, while the V2 S is designed with a single rider seat but includes a passenger seat kit that can be added for two-up riding. The V2 weighs 178 kg, while the V2 S comes in at 175 kg, making it the lightest Streetfighter Ducati has ever produced.
