Honda is one of the MotoGP manufacturers at the concession system level with the most development opportunities – currently, it is the least competitive team in the field.
After a first test for 2025 in Barcelona, where there weren’t as many updates to the bike as Joan Mir would have liked, Luca Marini doesn’t expect significant changes in the first months of 2025.
Despite the Italian rider stating that he had plenty to test in Barcelona last Tuesday, he doubts there will be major progress in the near future.
When asked if it’s realistic to expect a significant step before the first official test of 2025, Marini replied: ‘I don’t know. I think it’s a bit early before Sepang, honestly. We might need to wait until the middle of the season to have a very good step’.
