The Moto2 and Moto3 World Championship winter tests will take place at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve next February.
Weeks before the season kicks off, the circuit near Portimão will host two days of Moto3 testing on February 10 and 11, followed by two days of Moto2 testing on February 12 and 13.
According to a statement, these are ‘the first «private» pre-season tests’. It’s worth noting that the track will also host the penultimate round of the season in November next year.
However, the inaugural race will be the Thai GP in Buriram. Additionally, in 2025, the Moto2 and Moto3 formats will undergo slight changes, aligning more closely with MotoGP: two free practice sessions and a qualifying format where the top 14 advance directly to the second phase of qualifying.
