Jorge Martín leads the MotoGP world championship by 17 points. After a very positive start to the season, the Spanish rider arrives at Le Mans with a reduced lead, after suffering a crash in Sunday’s race in Jerez.
Speaking to Diario AS, Fonsi Nieto spoke about the performance of his driver’s rival, Francesco Bagnaia.
– Being the leader of the overall standings helps, of course it does. Here, everything comes together. Everything is at a very high level and we’ve seen a very good race. Pecco has been at an unbeatable level. He’s worked very well and we’ve seen that he recovers whenever he has problems. We’ve seen that many times and we’re going to do the same. It’s going well. We went into Jerez fighting to win.
This weekend we arrive at the Le Mans circuit in France, where we’re sure to see a big fight for the championship lead.
