What Marc Márquez did this year with the Ducati Desmosedici GP23 is worth reflecting on, and that’s exactly what Óscar Haro did, given the quality and speed displayed by the Spaniard with the previous version of the Italian bike, in a 2024 championship where he was able to not only outshine other riders with the latest version, but, he believes, ridicule them.
The former LCR Honda manager knows the now Ducati factory rider well and, given his performance on the GP23, he was full of praise for the #93, who in 2024 rode in the colors of Gresini Racing, in words to Nico Abad, quoted by Motosan: ‘Marc made everyone look ridiculous, even Morbidelli who rides a GP24’.
The final classification in the championship also deserved a word: ‘The guy came third in the World Championship with a GP23’.
It should be noted that there were four riders on the most up-to-date version of the Desmosedici: Pecco Bagnaia (second) and Enea Bastianini (fourth), as well as Jorge Martín, the defending champion (Pramac Racing, then a Ducati satellite), and Franco Morbidelli (ninth).
