After praising Casey Stoner and showing his admiration for the former MotoGP world champion rider, Luca Marini once again highlighted the Australian’s quickness, who was present at Valentino Rossi’s Ranch this November.
The current Honda driver, the manufacturer for which Stoner won a title in the premier class, recalled the speed that #27 showed, quoted by Motosan: ‘I didn’t ride with him in the last exit, when he was fast; I only did a few laps with him at the beginning to show him the circuit and how to ride.’
However, Stoner showed a great capacity for learning and was very fast, even though he didn’t have the most suitable bike for it: ‘He was super fast. He had a two-stroke bike, maybe not the best for being fast at the VR46 Motor Ranch, but he managed to do a very good lap for the first time. I think he can be very pleased, he did a great job.’
Stoner was present at Rossi’s ranch at the Italian’s invitation, following the Australian’s presence at EICMA in Milan.
