During a particularly challenging phase for Honda in MotoGP, the satellite team LCR is collaborating more closely than ever with the manufacturer on a technical level. This season was also marked by extensive development concessions.
According to GPOne.com, Lucio Cecchinello, the owner of the Monaco-based squad, shared with the championship’s official site that working more closely with Honda brought natural advantages:
– We collected a lot of data, and what is important is that this year we worked more closely with the HRC engineers and provided a lot of information, including videometry. Now we have a clearer idea of where to focus our evolution efforts.
It is worth noting that Honda’s best results this year were achieved by Johann Zarco of LCR — finishing eighth in Thailand and ninth in Indonesia, the only top-ten finishes for the manufacturer this season. The Frenchman concluded the championship in 17th place.
