The new MotoGP world champion didn’t have an easy road to the title and some of his opponents, who challenged him time and time again, also contributed to that.
The Spaniard spoke to TVE and, quoted by Motosan, recalled some of his main opponents this season, praising them and recalling their strong competition and opposition:
. Pecco Bagnaia, Marc Márquez and Enea Bastianini, all three of them, made me a better rider, they made me try 100 percent. When it wasn’t one, it was the other who was there to win, and I was always in that fight and that’s what made the difference.
For the new Aprilia rider, this season had a special meaning, especially given how competitive it was: ‘It was a very difficult title to win, we achieved the all-time record for points, something that already indicates that the competitiveness was very high, and to have won it is incredible’.
