In his first year with LCR Honda in MotoGP, Johann Zarco finished only 17th overall. Despite being Honda’s top performer, he was far from achieving the results he had until 2023 with Pramac. However, there was clear progress, as he ended the season fighting near the top ten.
The Frenchman acknowledged the improvements: ‘I’m riding the bike better. I’ve learned to ride this bike better. We did some improvements, and I’m gaining confidence in Honda, step-by-step, which is really important for the future’.
Despite all the challenges Honda faced throughout the year, Zarco exceeded his own expectations, as he admitted:
– If I have to analyze this end of the season, it’s more positive than I expected. And also my feeling, one year ago I thought that I would have been sadder, and I’m much happier than I expect. So, that’s good.
