Jack Miller finished Sunday’s race in 16th position and out of the points at the Buriram GP. The Australian rider has shown some difficulties in the final phase of the season to be competitive unlike his teammate, Brad Binder, who finished in 3rd position.
The Red Bull KTM Factory Racing rider spoke in a debrief about what happened during Sunday’s race.
– ‘ It was a long race, I gave everything I could. I struggled all weekend, but I didn’t feel bad overall. I was missing top speed, I tried not to make any mistakes, but as soon as the tires started to wear I lost a lot of time in the second and third sector. Brad is doing very well, he’s doing a good job and we need to improve like he did this weekend. I tried to drive with different styles, trajectories, steering angles in corners, I tried literally everything to be better, but it didn’t work and we have a lot of work to do. The team worked hard to help and not finishing in the points is very tough.
Jack also spoke about the difference in pace he had in the Sprint race compared to Sunday’s race and was quite impressed by the lack of progress.
– ‘ The pace was good in the Sprint and this morning, I used the same tires as yesterday and I couldn’t even get close to my Sprint times. We have to keep working, it’s not the end of the world, we’ll try to keep improving even though it’s a weekend to forget.
