Franco Morbidelli will join the Pertamina Enduro VR46 team next MotoGP season. After a year with Prima Pramac, he transitions to Valentino Rossi’s team, which he already knows well.
The Italian rider will also have the same Ducati Desmosedici GP24 he rode this year, a bike that started delivering good results as he adapted to it. Expectations are high at VR46, as team director Pablo Nieto told DAZN:
– He is an Academy rider that we know very well. We practically know what he needs, and we will try to provide him that extra something to be able to fight among the top three or four. It’s a project with the potential to be there, and above all, to give him continuity with the bike he already had this year.
The Spaniard added: ‘After his stint with other manufacturers, the second year should theoretically be better. Let’s hope that is the case’.
