World champion in 2024 and four years with Ducati, this is part of Jorge Martín’s presentation card who heads to Aprilia next year and Fabiano Sterlacchini sees the rider’s arrival as a ‘great opportunity’.
The new technical director of the Italian team was in conversation with Manuel Pecino in Barcelona, during last week’s tests, and was happy to see the opportunity that Aprilia has in counting on the rider, as he explained, quoted by Motosan: ‘I think the The arrival of Jorge Martín, world champion on the bike that won the title, is a great opportunity’.
Sterlacchini then said that the Spaniard can indicate the direction to follow with the RS-GP to make it more competitive: ‘With him we now have a reference that allows us to know where to intervene. In the short time we have spent together since his arrival at Aprilia, the impression he has given me is that he is both a world champion and a leader.’
And he also left a word of praise for #89: ‘To be honest, it’s incredible the way he approached the work at hand and that’s very positive’.
