With the new regulations announced for 2027, several riders shared their opinion on the matter. Many rules will change, from the performance of the bikes to the sharing of data between all the riders in the MotoGP paddock.
Speaking to Speed Week, Francesco Bagnaia, the reigning MotoGP world champion, shared his opinion on the new rules that will come into force from 2027.
– I would simply like to have the fastest bike. It’s never fast enough, even if the bikes are already very fast. I just want a fast bike that I can win with. The only reason I like MotoGP is because I have a bike I can win with. Winning is the biggest motivation. I also don’t understand why some riders say it’s difficult to use the buttons or adjust the frame. You have to get used to it. For me, fiddling with the knobs during a race has become normal. It’s part of the job. If you want to be fast, you have to do it. Maybe these guys are complaining because their bikes aren’t at the same level as ours. So we have to eliminate some of those things so that we no longer have that advantage. At the moment, all the riders are more or less at the same level.
