Catcher Position Remains a Concern

Following the trade of Danny Jansen at last summer’s deadline, production from the catcher position has significantly waned. The current tandem of Hunter Feduccia and Nick Fortes has struggled offensively, leaving them as the frontrunners for playing time behind the plate.
In light of the financial flexibility created by the recent trades, the Rays are considering an upgrade at catcher. One potential target is Victor Caratini, who could bring valuable versatility to the lineup.
