As spring training approaches, the Boston Red Sox are poised for a fierce battle to secure spots in their starting rotation. As the competition unfolds, Breslow has placed the responsibility on Tolle to prove himself when camp opens in Fort Myers this February. “We have been monitoring his work pretty closely, but there is nothing like stress-testing this in games against hitters,” he stated. Breslow added that the performance of young pitchers, including Tolle, will ultimately dictate their standing in the rotation.
