To celebrate the launch of “Need for Speed Unbound Vol. 9,” the latest update of the well-known car racing video game that has just hit the market, Electronic Arts and BMW have created a real version of the iconic M3 GTR from “Need for Speed Most Wanted” released in 2005.
For this exclusive creation, BMW used the real E46 M3 model, which was used in the 2001 races by BMW Motorsport, winning the ALMS GT Series championship, and replicated the characteristic design, featuring the silver and blue colors used by the German brand about two decades ago.
BMW will showcase the M3 GTR that has transitioned from the virtual world to reality starting this Wednesday, November 27, at the BMW Welt exhibition center in Munich, Germany, where this popular sports car from “Need for Speed” will be on display until January 6.
“The M3 GTR model is one of the most recognized in the history of Need for Speed, so to celebrate the 30th anniversary, we wanted to do something special”, said John Stanley, the creative director of Need for Speed Unbound.
