Aston Martin unveiled the new Vanquish in September, equipped with a 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 engine, without electric assistance, delivering 835 hp and a maximum torque of 1000 Nm.
The new flagship of the British brand will be accompanied by a convertible version, which has now been spotted testing by “MotorAuthority.”
The prototype of the Aston Martin Vanquish Volante appears with the traditional camouflage paint, a fabric roof similar to that used on the old DBS Volante, and is not expected to bring significant surprises in terms of design, judging by the prototype caught testing now.
It is certain that the convertible version of the Vanquish will likely record slightly more modest performance than the “normal” variant, which can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 345 km/h, representing the highest figure in a production model from the British brand.
As with the already presented Vanquish, Aston Martin is expected to limit the production of its future convertible to 1000 units per year.
