The Boston Bruins ended their road trip on a sour note, falling 4-0 to the Nashville Predators. Despite stellar goaltending from Jeremy Swayman, the Bruins’ offense struggled once again, unable to generate any meaningful attack in five-on-five play.
Swayman, the standout of the game, made 32 saves with a .927 save percentage, keeping Boston in the contest as Nashville relentlessly attacked. However, the Bruins’ offense failed to support him, generating just eight shot attempts and getting outmatched in scoring chances, 7-1. “You want your best players to be your best players, and Swayman has been just that,” said head coach Jim Montgomery.
While the newly shuffled top line of Marchand, Lindholm, and Pastrnak showed some promise, creating quality chances and outshooting the Predators, they couldn’t find the back of the net. Pastrnak had several breakaway opportunities but came up short against Nashville’s Juuse Saros, who locked down the shutout.
The Bruins, now 1-1-1 on their road trip, head home searching for answers on offense. With the Dallas Stars looming, Boston must find ways to be more effective or risk further setbacks.
