Justin Reid Defends Taylor Swift: “She’s an Awesome Person and Artist”
Kansas City Chiefs safety Justin Reid is speaking out against the unnecessary hatred that Taylor Swift has been receiving. Despite the overwhelming coverage of Swift’s relationship with Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, Reid believes that the distaste for Swift is unjustified.
“She’s very, very sweet,” Reid expressed. “She found a way to compliment everyone she talked to. I don’t understand why she’s getting all the hate. She’s an awesome person, awesome artist all around.”
Reid’s perspective holds weight, as he has had the opportunity to observe Swift up close. However, some fans are growing tired of Swift not because of her personality, but because they want their own favorite NFL teams to achieve the same level of success that she has experienced in her short time as a fan.
The Kelce brothers, Jason and Travis, recently discussed this on their “New Heights” podcast. They acknowledged the fans who feel this way and even gave a shoutout to Swift for joining the Chiefs Kingdom and reaching the Super Bowl in her rookie year.
While there may be a certain demographic that takes their admiration for Swift too far, known as the “dads, Brads, and Chads” according to Swift, it’s possible that the general disdain for her stems from other reasons unrelated to her as a person.
Regardless, the extensive coverage of Swift will come to an end after Super Bowl LVIII. Many Americans are eagerly looking forward to this much-needed break from the constant spotlight on Swift.
