In a world where station wagons have become a rare sight, Volvo and Audi are among the few brands that still offer them. Audi, in particular, has caught the attention of car enthusiasts with its impressive lineup of station wagons, including the 2024 A4 allroad quattro, A6 allroad quattro, and the flagship RS 6 Avant. Priced at $125,800, the RS 6 Avant is not only luxurious but also packs a punch in terms of performance.
But now, Audi has taken things up a notch with the introduction of the Audi RS 6 Avant GT. This special edition model is limited to just 660 units and its availability in the United States is yet to be confirmed. However, European customers can expect deliveries to begin in the second quarter of the year, with a price tag of 219,355 euros (approximately $236,000).
Drawing inspiration from the RS 6 GTO concept and the Audi 90 quattro IMSA GTO race car, the RS 6 Avant GT is a true masterpiece. Its exterior features exclusive details, such as a carbon fiber hood, a unique livery, a pass-through roof edge spoiler, a redefined diffuser, and 22-inch wheels. Inside the cabin, carbon fiber accents, bucket seats, a new color combination, and individual numbering add to the exclusivity.
Under the hood, the RS 6 Avant GT is powered by a twin-turbo V8 engine that produces an impressive 621 horsepower and 625 pound-feet of torque. With this power, the car can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.3 seconds. It also boasts a top speed of 190 mph and can reach 124 mph in just 11.5 seconds. To ensure optimal performance, Audi has equipped the RS 6 Avant GT with a light and adjustable coilover suspension, a modified quattro sport differential, and an eight-speed Tiptronic gearbox with optimized shift times.
The Audi RS 6 Avant GT is truly a masterpiece that combines luxury, performance, and exclusivity. With only 660 units available, it is a car that will turn heads wherever it goes. Whether it will make its way to the United States remains to be seen, but European customers are in for a treat when deliveries begin later this year.
